Artist's Description
The lily in this painting was in the Marshland Farm Pond, by Quechee Gorge in VT. The Marshland Farm Inn now owns the painting. It was interesting to note while studying this scene that the hundreds of lily pads make a noise as they unfold through out the pond. The surface of the leaves are almost like wax, so I wanted to capture the drop of water that rested on the leaf.
