Artist's Description
As we were walking the ancient streets of Pompeii in the market place, we turned the corner near the bakers shop and there sat these jars, as if waiting for someone from the past to use them. The lighting was soft in that corner. I have done 2 oil paintings of that same scene, which are now sold, and I do not seem to tire of it.
